Renderism

Sculpted 3D head, the recurring motif in Martynas Auz’s renderism work
Martynas Auz in his studio

At the center of my creative practice are paintings and large-scale wall pieces inspired by renderism – an artistic direction rooted in 3D rendering aesthetics. This approach naturally evolved from my background in street art and digital graphics.

Each work is sculpted by hand using a VR headset. I see myself as a contemporary virtual ceramist, modeling and shaping forms before translating them onto canvas or walls. The technique gives the works a smooth, rounded, almost polished appearance, which I complete with acrylics, oils, and spray paints. My art combines abstract elements, stylized characters, and a touch of irony that often becomes part of the narrative itself.
